Gwanak-gu to host 10th annual Ganggamchan Festival
Gwanak-gu will host the 10th annual Gwanak Ganggamchan Festival from October 16 to 18 at Nakseongdae Park. Under the theme ‘Tomorrow Ganggamchan – Opening the Future,’ the festival aims to connect the historical legacy of General Gang Gam-chan with the aspirations of modern youth and citizens.
The three-day event features diverse programming including a youth dream concert, historical talk shows, and a special 10th-anniversary performance combining traditional arts with modern dance and aerial fireworks. Other activities include astronomical observations at Seoul National University, local food markets, and community-led art festivals.
Last year, the festival attracted over 208,000 visitors and generated an estimated 10 billion won in regional economic impact. This year, the festival space has expanded to include the Nakseong Flower Garden, featuring archive exhibitions and family-oriented cultural programs.
