Gwangju Women's University holds social welfare field practicum presentation

The Department of Social Welfare at Gwangju Women's University held a field practicum presentation following a four-week summer internship program. The event was designed to link theoretical classroom learning with practical field experience.

During the internship period, professors visited various institutions to monitor operations and held meetings with agency heads and supervising social workers to ensure the quality of the training. Students participated in presentations where they shared individual experiences and conducted team activities to explore diverse sectors, including elderly welfare, disability welfare, child welfare, and mental health/medical social work.

In addition to analyzing agency programs, students researched job postings and specific job duties to connect their practical training with future career paths. The department aims to continue this curriculum to strengthen students' practical skills and support their professional development in the social welfare field.
