Gwangmyeong City to host Festival Gwangmyeong on October 3–4

Gwangmyeong City will host ‘2026 Festival Gwangmyeong’ on October 3 and 4 along the eight-lane Cheolsan-ro road near Cheolsan Station. The event features a diverse lineup of musical artists, including singer-songwriter 10CM and Daybreak on the first day, followed by rock legend Kim Jong-seo and Romantic Punch on the second day.

This year’s festival emphasizes citizen participation through programs such as the ‘Parade Gwangmyeong,’ an open stage for youth and local arts groups, and a ‘Sharing Market Zone’ for exchanging second-hand goods. Additional attractions include a ‘Gwangmyeong 9 Sceneries Play Zone’ and a ‘Social Solidarity Economy Zone’ featuring local artists and workshops.

To facilitate the event, an approximately 300-meter section of Cheolsan-ro will be closed to traffic from the morning of October 2 until the early hours of October 5. Local bus routes, including branches 3, 6616, and 6638, as well as village bus Gwangmyeong 01, will undergo temporary detours or route changes during this period.
