Gwangyang art exhibitions set to conclude in October

Gwangyang City has announced that several major art exhibitions at the Jeonnam Museum of Art and Inseori Park are scheduled to conclude throughout October. These exhibitions explore diverse themes including nature, memory, human identity, and the era of artificial intelligence.

Key upcoming closures include the visual research band Ikkibawi Kururu’s exhibition, ‘Ikkibawi Kururu: Stones Living Backward,’ which runs until October 5. Additionally, Kim Seong-gyeol’s solo exhibition, ‘Disappeared Faces,’ at the Banchanggo Gallery in Inseori Park, will continue until October 9. The Jeonnam Museum of Art is also hosting ‘Data Sapiens’ until October 18, featuring 11 artists using AI as a creative medium to explore the relationship between humans and technology.

Furthermore, the international exchange exhibition ‘Two Cities, One Flame’ is currently on display at the Jeonnam Museum of Art until November 8. This project commemorates the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between South Korea and France, showcasing collaborative works created by young artists from both nations in partnership with the French creative community Le Wonder.
