Gwendoline Hamon discusses the future of ‘Cassandre’
Gwendoline Hamon, the star of the long-running France 3 series ‘Cassandre’, has shared insights regarding her role and the future of the show. As the series approaches its eleventh anniversary this November, Hamon expressed pride in the program, noting its ability to bring together audiences from diverse social backgrounds.
In recent discussions about the potential conclusion of the series, Hamon stated that while she acknowledges the show must eventually end, she hopes for a joyful conclusion rather than a cliché ending. Specifically, she expressed a desire to avoid a romantic resolution between her character, Florence Cassandre, and Captain Pascal Roche, describing such a plot point as ‘cucul’ (silly).
Co-star Alexandre Varga, who plays Captain Pascal Roche, indicated his desire to continue the series as long as there is an audience demand. Hamon added that her primary motivation for staying with the project is to avoid boredom, noting that she still finds enjoyment in the role.
