Gwinnett County Shooting Leaves One Dead in Snellville Parking Lot

Police in Gwinnett County, Georgia, responded to reports of gunfire just after midnight on August 2, 2026, in a parking lot on the 3500 block of Stone Mountain Highway in Snellville. Officers detained a man who fled the scene and subsequently discovered a second individual who had died from a gunshot wound. Detectives processed the area, collected evidence and interviewed several witnesses.
