GWS Giants stars face departures to Victorian AFL clubs

The Greater Western Sydney (GWS) Giants are facing significant roster changes as several key players prepare to depart for Victorian clubs. Ruckman Kieren Briggs has confirmed he will leave the Giants as an unrestricted free agent and is expected to join the Richmond Tigers on a four-year deal. GWS football boss Jason McCartney acknowledged the difficulty of losing a valued player, noting the club was unable to match the offer to retain him.

In addition to Briggs, captain Toby Greene is reportedly more than 50 percent likely to join Geelong next season, citing family reasons. Forwards Jesse Hogan and Jake Stringer have also been granted permission to leave the club, with both players expressing interest in joining Collingwood to bolster their attacking lineup. These departures mark a period of major upheaval for the Giants' squad.
