In a social media installment from her #boyfriendbreakfast series, Paltrow demonstrated the preparation of the dish, which involves charring eggplant, peeling it, and frying it in an egg base.

Paltrow added a unique twist to the traditional recipe by topping the eggplant with garlicky turkey crumbles and serving it with homemade banana ketchup. The video drew significant attention from the Filipino food community, including content creator Erwan Heussaff, who praised the actress for using the dish's authentic name rather than referring to it as an “eggplant omelette.”
