GXO deploys 127 Exotec robots for Guess fulfillment in Venlo

GXO has implemented a Skypod automation system from Exotec at its distribution center in Venlo, Netherlands, to handle fulfillment for the fashion brand Guess. The installation features 127 robots and 60,000 storage locations, supported by eight goods-to-person pick stations and a 200-meter conveyor network.

The system is designed to manage the high number of SKUs and seasonal fluctuations typical of fashion logistics. It processes between 40,000 and 70,000 items daily, with the capacity to handle up to 2,200 order lines per hour during peak periods. This automation supports inbound and outbound logistics, as well as quality control and garment conditioning for the EMEA and Asian markets.

The partnership between GXO and Guess, which dates back to 2011, has been extended through at least 2032 as part of a broader European agreement signed in 2024.
