GXO Logistics Spain faces union mediation over equality plan deadlock

The UGT union has filed a request for mediation with SIMA to resolve a deadlock regarding the negotiation of the second Equality Plan at GXO Logistics Spain. The dispute involves approximately 4,200 workers nationwide, including 3,000 in Guadalajara and 600 in Toledo.

According to the union, the logistics company has ignored months of requests for essential documentation, including updated diagnostics, pay audits, salary registries, and job evaluations. UGT representatives claim the company's failure to provide this information and its postponement of meetings violate legal requirements and undermine the principle of good faith in negotiations.

Union leaders emphasized that an equality plan must serve to improve working conditions, combat pay gaps, and advance work-life balance rather than being a mere formality. The union is now seeking mediation to ensure the company demonstrates a verifiable commitment to equality through transparency and actionable data.
