Gy family murders: Autopsy details released following quadruple homicide

Autopsy results have provided details regarding the quadruple homicide in Gy, Haute-Saône. Investigators believe a 42-year-old father, who was in the process of separating from his partner, killed three family members before turning a firearm on himself.

The two children, aged 6 and 10, died from single gunshot wounds to the back of the torso, likely fired at close range. The father died from a single gunshot wound to the chin. The children's 74-year-old grandmother died from a major hemorrhage caused by three knife wounds to the thorax and abdomen, described by prosecutor Arnaud Grécourt as being inflicted with “great violence.” The autopsy also noted bruising and signs of manual strangulation on her neck.

Funeral services for the two children are scheduled for Tuesday at the Saint-Symphorien church in Gy. The local municipality is also planning a white march to honor the victims, with specific details to be determined in consultation with the family.
