Gyanesh Kumar meets Angola and Suriname envoys to boost electoral cooperation

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, who also serves as the Chairman of the Council of Member States of International IDEA, held bilateral meetings in New Delhi with ambassadors from Angola and Suriname.

During meetings with Angolan Ambassador Clemente Camenha and Surinamese Ambassador Hanisha Jairam, discussions centered on strengthening democratic cooperation. The parties aimed to expand mutual collaboration regarding election management and the training of electoral personnel. These efforts align with the objectives established for the International Conference on Democracy and Election Management (IICDEM) 2026.
