Gyeongbuk Development Corporation offers low-cost rental housing in Yeongju
Gyeongbuk Development Corporation is recruiting residents for 42 units of purchased rental housing in Gaheung-dong, Yeongju. The initiative, known as ‘Dream Housing,’ targets youth, newlyweds, and households with newborns to provide a stable residential foundation.
To reduce the financial burden on vulnerable groups, rent is set at 30% to 50% of market rates. Additionally, through an agreement between Yeongju and the corporation to foster a marriage and childcare-friendly environment, the city will provide an extra 50% subsidy on rent. This brings the actual cost for residents down to approximately 15% to 25% of market value. The housing units include essential appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, and air conditioners for the youth-type units.
Applications can be submitted on October 7 and 8 through the Gaheung 1-dong Administrative Welfare Center or via registered mail to the Gyeongbuk Development Corporation.
