Gyeongbuk Women's Policy Development Institute advances specialized ESG model

The Gyeongbuk Women's Policy Development Institute held its 2026 ESG Management Committee meeting on August 21 to review ESG performance and discuss future strategic directions. The committee, which included external experts and labor representatives, focused on refining a specialized ESG management model developed in collaboration with Gyeongkuk National University.

The institute aims to integrate this customized model into its mid-to-long-term management strategies, ensuring that its unique organizational characteristics and mission are reflected in its operational systems. Discussions also centered on expanding these ESG practices to the local community and related organizations, as well as establishing concrete indicators to measure and monitor performance.

Additionally, the committee reviewed entries for an AI-assisted integrity character contest, a new anti-corruption initiative for 2026 designed to promote a culture of transparency. Ha Geum-sook, President of the institute, emphasized that ESG management is a core responsibility essential for creating tangible value for citizens.
