Gyeongbuk Women's Policy Development Institute hosts WE Leader Forum

The Gyeongbuk Women's Policy Development Institute and Gyeongsangbuk-do held the ‘2026 Gyeongbuk WE Leader Policy Forum’ to strengthen the capabilities of female leaders and address regional crises such as low birth rates and population decline.

Under the theme ‘Female Leaders Thinking, Connecting, and Leading Change in the AI Era,’ the forum featured lectures on maintaining values in the age of artificial intelligence. Participants engaged in debates regarding the replacement of caregiving personnel with robots and presented five specific policy proposals to address local issues:

• A safety guidance app for university areas. • AI-driven generation-empathy picture books. • Economic transition support for middle-aged women in Chilgok. • A rural-style food living lab in Mungyeong. • An integrated management solution for pet waste.

The forum is part of the Gyeongbuk WE Leader Academy, which operates across Mungyeong, Gyeongsan, and Chilgok to foster leadership and practical policy-making skills among women in the region.
