Gyeonggi Art Warehouse to host new contemporary art exhibition in Suwon
The Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation is hosting the 2026 Gyeonggi Art Warehouse New Collection Exhibition, titled ‘What is Seen, What is Unseen’, at the Gyeonggi Sangsang Campus in Suwon. Running from the 23rd of this month until the 11th of next month, the exhibition features 39 selected works from a collection of 44 pieces acquired in 2025. The showcase highlights 37 artists, including emerging young artists from the Gyeonggi region and creators in popular art genres.
The exhibition is organized into three thematic chapters. The first, ‘Invisible Time Beneath Visible Scenes’, explores personal memories, family narratives, and traces of industrialization or disaster. The second, ‘Can You Believe What You See?’, examines the impact of digital images, games, and renderings on reality perception. The final chapter, ‘Things That Exist Even if Unseen’, focuses on intangible values such as care, intimacy, solidarity, and recovery.
Visitors can view a diverse spectrum of contemporary art, including painting, photography, sculpture, and installation. The exhibition is free to the public and open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though it is closed on Mondays and during the Chuseok holiday.
