Gyeonggi Province is hosting a wide array of cultural events to celebrate September as the Month of Reading. Public libraries across 31 cities and counties in the province are organizing a total of 1,473 programs, including lectures, performances, exhibitions, and meetings with authors.

Key highlights include a special lecture by award-winning picture book author Lee Eok-bae in Anseong, a library festival in Hwaseong, and various reading plays and humanities salons. The provincial library is also offering specialized programs such as library tours and lectures focused on social issues like youth isolation.

In Seongnam, the Sujeong Library is operating the ‘Dugeun Dugeun! Culture Playground’ throughout September.
