Gyeonggi Province to pilot AI-driven real estate safety service in October
Gyeonggi Province and the Ministry of Science and ICT will launch a pilot program for ‘Gyeonggi Safe Real Estate’ (GRTS) in October. This AI-driven service is designed to prevent real estate fraud, specifically targeting jeonse (lease) scams by analyzing property rights and contract risks.
The system operates across three stages. Before a contract is signed, AI analyzes registry documents and market prices to diagnose potential risks. During the contracting process, voice recognition technology monitors whether real estate agents provide all mandatory explanations, while AI also checks contracts for omissions. After the contract is finalized, the system provides 24-hour monitoring of registry changes, alerting tenants to any new collateral or shifts in property rights.
The service combines AI data analysis with on-site verification by real estate agents to ensure accuracy. Tenants can access verified rights analysis results for free and use an AI chatbot for additional inquiries. The pilot phase will involve approximately 15,000 real estate agents participating in the existing ‘Gyeonggi Safe Jeonse Project’.
