Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education launches instrument sharing program

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has launched the ‘Sori-ieum Instrument Sharing Support Project’ to redistribute unused musical instruments stored in schools to those in need. The initiative aims to increase the utility of existing school resources and expand opportunities for students to participate in music and arts education.

Under this program, the office will provide financial support for the inspection, repair, and transportation of instruments selected for sharing or management transfer. The process is managed through the newly established ‘RAS Gyeonggi Arts Maru’ integrated platform for arts education.

Schools with unused instruments can register them via the ‘Sori-ieum Maru’ section of the platform from September 9 to September 16. Schools in need of instruments can then review the available inventory and apply for sharing or management transfer between September 30 and October 7. A second phase of the project is expected to be operated in November.
