Gyeongsan Jujube Festival to be held October 16–18
The 15th Gyeongsan Jujube Festival & Agricultural Products Fair will be held from October 16 to 18 at the Onmaru Plaza in Gyeongsan Life Sports Park. The event aims to promote the excellence of Gyeongsan jujubes, which account for 40% of South Korea's total production and have a historical reputation as royal tribute goods.
Visitors can participate in direct sales events offering fresh and dried jujubes at 20% to 30% below market prices. The festival features a variety of food zones themed around royal cuisine, including specialized stalls for jujube dishes, desserts, traditional liquors, and snacks. Other activities include free tastings of Korean beef and pork.
The three-day program includes diverse cultural performances such as trot concerts featuring artists like Hong Jin-young and Kim Hee-jae, traditional Korean music (Nongak), and various dance and busking performances. Interactive programs like jujube-themed contests, stamp tours, and lottery events are also organized for families and visitors.
