Gyeongsangbuk-do Citizens' Sports Festival concludes in Andong and Yecheon

The 36th Gyeongsangbuk-do Citizens' Sports Festival has concluded following a three-day event held in the Andong and Yecheon areas. Organized by Gyeongsangbuk-do and the Gyeongsangbuk-do Sports Council, the festival saw approximately 10,000 participants from 22 cities and counties across the province.

Athletes competed in 23 different disciplines, including gateball, football, tennis, and park golf. Notable winners included Gyeongju and Chilgok in gateball, Gumi and Uljin in volleyball, and Pohang and Cheongdo in gymnastics. The host cities, Andong and Yecheon, both secured victories in the popular park golf category.

Beyond the athletic competition, the event served as a platform for regional communication and provided an economic boost to the local hospitality and food industries in Andong and Yecheon.
