Gyeongsangbuk-do Office of Education announces 2030 vision

The Gyeongsangbuk-do Office of Education has announced its ‘Gyeongsangbuk-do Education 2030 Grand Transformation’ vision. During a ceremony held in Pohang, Superintendent Lim Jong-sik unveiled a roadmap for the period between 2027 and 2030, centered on the theme ‘Warm Gyeongsangbuk-do Education that Nurtures My Dreams.’

The new educational framework is built upon five core policy directions: AI transformation, customized growth, safe schools, regional coexistence, and empathetic administration. The initiative aims to respect individual student potential and support growth at each student's own pace, guided by the indicators ‘As Myself, Newly, and Together.’

Key projects include human-centered AI education, hyper-connected Gyeongsangbuk schools, and the ‘Dream as Intended’ (Dae-ro) program to support career paths. The office plans to integrate these goals into the 2027 budget, organizational structure, and performance management to ensure the vision results in tangible changes within schools.
