Gyeongsangbuk-do to build food halnyu industry cooperation system

Gyeongsangbuk-do is establishing an industry-academic-research cooperation system to foster the food halnyu (Korean food wave) industry. The province aims to connect research and development, startups, investment, exports, and tourism content.

During a recent meeting involving universities such as Kyungpook National University, Yeungnam University, and POSTECH, officials discussed strategies to integrate advanced technologies like AI, bio, and robotics into the food sector. The province has outlined three primary roles for this initiative: serving as a testbed for the national food industry, acting as a growth base for K-food companies, and establishing a global food halnyu platform.
