Gyeongsangbuk-do to host various forest festivals in October
Gyeongsangbuk-do province will host a series of forest-themed festivals and cultural events throughout October to showcase its natural resources and regional culture.
Key events include the ‘Baekdudaegan Bongja Festival’ at the National Baekdudaegan Arboretum in Bonghwa, featuring approximately 550,000 native plants cultivated by local farmers. The Gyeongsangbuk-do Arboretum in Pohang will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a fall festival including forest crafts and woodworking experiences. Additionally, the ‘Kolon Trail Camp in Dongseo Trail’ will offer trekking courses ranging from 30km to 120km in the Bonghwa area.
Later in the month, the Gyeongsangbuk-do Forest Expo will take place in Pohang, featuring over 100 booths from various municipalities and forestry companies. The month concludes with the ‘Baekdudaegan Regional Win-Win Forest Healing Expo’ in Yeongju, which will focus on forest healing experiences and seminars regarding the future of the healing industry.
