Gyeongsangnam-do hosts 20th Superintendent's Cup School Sports Club Competition

The Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education held the 20th Superintendent's Cup School Sports Club Competition across 13 regions in the province. The event featured 8,573 students from 698 clubs, including 244 elementary, 272 middle, and 182 high school clubs, competing in 20 different disciplines such as dodgeball, badminton, track and field, and sports stacking.

Winning clubs from this competition will represent Gyeongsangnam-do at the national school sports club festival held across 17 provinces between October and November. Superintendent Kwon Soon-ki emphasized the importance of supporting school sports club activities to foster healthy growth and challenges for students.

In a related achievement, Songhak Elementary School, representing Boryeong, secured third place in the women's division of the sports stacking event during the Chungnam School Sports Club Competition. This marked the school's first appearance in the discipline, where students demonstrated teamwork and concentration.
