Gyeongsangnam-do launches autumn accommodation discount festival

Gyeongsangnam-do and the Gyeongnam Tourism Foundation have launched the second half of the ‘2026 Korea Accommodation Sale Festa’ to boost autumn tourism and reduce travel costs for visitors. Running from September 22 to November 8, the initiative provides a total of 16,000 discount coupons through 13 online travel agencies, including MyRealTrip and Yeogiohtte.

The discount structure is divided into two categories. The main program offers 20,000 KRW off bookings between 20,000 and 70,000 KRW, 30,000 KRW off bookings over 70,000 KRW, and up to 70,000 KRW for consecutive night stays exceeding 140,000 KRW.

A specialized ‘Island Region’ program covers seven coastal municipalities—Geoje, Goseong, Namhae, Sacheon, Changwon, Tongyeong, and Hadong—offering higher discounts: 30,000 KRW for bookings between 30,000 and 70,000 KRW, and 50,000 KRW for bookings over 70,000 KRW.

Coupons are available on a first-come, first-served basis to travelers aged 19 and older. The program is funded through a 50/50 match between national and provincial budgets, totaling 536 million KRW. Eligible accommodations must be officially registered under the Tourism Promotion Act or the Public Health Control Act; unregistered shared accommodations are excluded.
