Gymnast Benny Wizani is preparing for the World Championships in Nanjing following a recovery from a cruciate ligament and meniscus injury. Coach Willi Wöber stated that the team is prioritizing a controlled return to competition to avoid the mistakes of previous seasons, viewing the upcoming championships as a stepping stone toward the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Wizani reported that he has been pain-free for seven weeks and is currently operating at approximately 70 percent of his former performance capacity. Due to the reduced difficulty of his routines during this recovery phase, he is not targeting a podium finish at this event, focusing instead on building stamina and competitive experience.
