Győr traffic restrictions expected due to Telekom network upgrades

Magyar Telekom is conducting optical cable network developments in Győr, which is expected to cause temporary traffic restrictions between August 31 and September 10, 2026.

The works will affect several sections of Fehérvári út, Katona József utca, Otthon utca, Zombor utca, and Körkemence utca. Depending on the specific stage of construction, restrictions may include lane closures, sidewalk disruptions, and bicycle path limitations.

To maintain accessibility, authorities plan to ensure at least 1.5 meters of space for pedestrians and cyclists, though some sections may require cyclists to walk their bikes. Traffic technical plans indicate that some intersections will involve partial lane closures or diversions. Drivers are advised to pay increased attention to temporary signage during this period.
