Champions League Women: Ferencváros and Metz headline handball action

In the EHF Champions League Women, several key matchups shaped the group stages. Ferencváros (FTC) maintained a perfect record with a 33-28 victory over Brest Bretagne in France, led by Petra Simon’s ten goals.

In Group B, defending champions Metz secured a 34-34 draw against Győri Audi ETO KC on the road. Despite a strong performance from Lucie Granier, Metz was unable to overcome Győr’s late surge, though they remain top of the group on goal difference.

Meanwhile, Odense Håndbold has faced a difficult start to their campaign. After recording only one win in four matches, the Danish side faces criticism from experts regarding their individual quality versus team results. Odense recently secured a dominant 35-18 away win against HSG Blomberg-Lippe, aiming to improve their standing in the group phase.
