Győri Balett announces 2026/27 season and international tour

The Győri Balett has announced its 2026/27 season, featuring two new premieres, two revived productions, and fifteen returning works. Director László Velekei detailed the upcoming schedule, which includes the premiere of ‘LOVEre’ on October 17, choreographed by Mateo Mirdita. This production will be performed 13 times at the Győr National Theatre.

A significant highlight of the season is the revival of the production ‘’56’, performed in memory of Ilona Tóth. This piece honors the 70th anniversary of the 1956 Revolution and will be staged at the Pesti Vigadó on October 22 and the Győr National Theatre on October 23, with further performances in the spring.

The company also plans several international appearances, including performances in Germany, Israel at the Tel Aviv Opera House, and Oman at the Royal Opera House Muscat. Domestically, the company will perform in Pécs and Komárno. The season also welcomes five new dancers: Levente Bajusz, Luisa Eckert, Dorottya Lengyel, Emanuela Santonocito, and You Wangzhe.
