Gyu-Kaku apologizes for employee theft of Jujutsu Kaisen collaboration items

Reins International, the operator of the yakiniku chain Gyu-Kaku, has issued an apology following the discovery of misconduct by employees regarding a collaboration campaign with the anime ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’.

It was revealed that some of the ‘original clear cards’—a promotional item for the series' 5th anniversary—were opened by staff and resealed before being provided to customers. Additionally, some items were found to have been taken from stores for personal use.

The company stated that the involved employees have been disciplined according to internal regulations. Gyu-Kaku plans to conduct an investigation across all locations to check for similar incidents and will review its management systems for the storage and distribution of promotional goods.
