Güzelyurt Mayor Mahmut Özçınar discusses municipal projects and cultural ties

Güzelyurt Mayor Mahmut Özçınar recently discussed the municipality's ongoing projects and regional challenges. He highlighted the completion of a new municipal building and the development of service buildings in Kalkanlı, Bostancı, and Serhatköy to expand service coverage across the 230-280 square kilometer region.

Özçınar noted that while the official population is approximately 25,000, the number reaches 35,000 when including students. He addressed the high operational costs associated with the municipality's wide geographic area and low subscriber count, emphasizing that investments are being managed through savings and local resources.

Additionally, Özçınar attended the 3rd International Keçiören Turkic World Festival in Keçiören, organized in cooperation with TÜRKSOY. During the event, which featured cultural performances and traditional dances, he met with Keçiören Mayor Dr. Mesut Özarslan to discuss strengthening brotherhood relations and increasing cultural cooperation between the two local governments.
