Gëzim Sveçla urges Kosovo mayor Perparim Rama to address corruption claims, says family not political tool
Gëzim Sveçla, head of the LVV assembly group in Pristina's municipal council, responded on Facebook to statements by mayor Perparim Rama that he was the target of a lynching campaign and that his family had been used as a shield. Sveçla said the mayor’s family should not be part of political debate and demanded that Rama clarify the corruption allegations and other accusations linked to his public duties.
Sveçla denied that any LVV assembly member had published messages about Rama’s relatives, insisting the discussion should focus on the alleged illegal legalizations, the role of collaborators, and the content of the posted messages. He called on the prosecutor’s office to investigate the case and urged Rama to answer the serious questions raised about his governance.
