Trabzonspor and Göztepe intensify pre‑season training and transfer moves in Slovenia

Trabzonspor resumed its pre‑season program at the Mehmet Ali Yılmaz facilities, running double training sessions focused on physical conditioning. The squad welcomed back Romanian defender Denis Draguş after his suspension ended and continued its transfer search, evaluating several candidates for positions such as wing‑back, striker, centre‑back and goalkeeper while keeping an eye on budget limits and the foreign‑player quota.

Göztepe continued its preparations in Bled, Slovenia, with manager Stanimir Stoilov stressing the need for higher dynamism and competition. The club confirmed that right‑back Arda Okan Kurtulan and goalkeeper Arda Özçimen will stay, while it pursues additional signings despite the high cost of Turkish players. Stoilov also referenced the Turkish Football Federation’s 10+4 foreign‑player rule.

Konyaspor also trained in Slovenia, now based in Maribor, and is set to play a friendly against Ukrainian side Zorya Luhansk. Additionally, Trabzonspor completed the signing of Dutch defender Rick van Drongelen from Samsunspor for a €200,000 transfer fee.
