Göztepe finds form under Stanimir Stoilov with Sonko Sundberg return

Göztepe, managed by Bulgarian coach Stanimir Stoilov, has ended a six-match winless streak in the Turkish league. The team secured a 4-0 away victory against Eyüpspor, followed by a 2-1 win against Kocaelispor.

Local Turkish media, including the DHA news agency, highlighted the positive impact of Gambian defender Noah Sonko Sundberg on the team's performance. Sundberg, a former Levski Sofia and Ludogorets defender, returned to the starting lineup after being sidelined by an injury sustained in August. His return coincided with the team's first clean sheet of the season, providing much-needed stability to the defense.

Despite the recent successes, Stoilov emphasized the need for continued development, noting that the team must return to its previous high level of football to maintain momentum.
