H-E-B announces donations for student aid and first responders

H-E-B has announced several philanthropic initiatives across Texas. The grocery chain donated $5,000 to the Emergency Aid program at Panola College to assist students facing unexpected financial challenges, such as medical expenses, food, and transportation costs.

Additionally, through its annual Helping Heroes program, H-E-B adopted over 1,300 fire, law enforcement, and EMS stations statewide. To commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11, the company donated $150,000 to first responder nonprofits. More than 3,000 employees participated in service projects and meal deliveries to emergency personnel as part of the National Day of Service and Remembrance.
