H. I. G. Capital appoints Younghee Choi as Head of Asia

H. I. G. Capital, a global alternative investment firm managing $75 billion in assets, has appointed Younghee Choi as the Head of Asia for its Capital Formation Group. Based in Hong Kong, Choi will oversee fundraising activities across the Asian region for the firm’s private equity, credit, and real assets platforms.

Choi joins the company from Blackstone, where she held senior leadership roles within the Institutional Client Solutions and Private Wealth divisions. During her tenure at Blackstone, she served as Senior Managing Director and Head of Korea ICS, where she was instrumental in establishing the firm’s private wealth fundraising business in South Korea.

Jordan Peer Griffin, Executive Managing Director and Global Head of the Capital Formation Group, stated that Choi’s experience and regional relationships will be vital in expanding the firm’s limited partner base and supporting the growth of its global investment platforms.
