Hộ linh tráng sĩ film faces pressure after modest box office debut

The Vietnamese historical film ‘Hộ linh tráng sĩ: Bí ẩn mộ vua Đinh’ is facing significant financial pressure following a modest box office debut. Despite an estimated investment of 100 billion VND, the film earned approximately 5.5 billion VND during its initial release, including early screenings.

Actress Chiều Xuân, who portrays the Empress, expressed deep pride and emotional connection to her role and the film's production. She highlighted the high quality of the historical costumes and the epic scale of the production, noting that the film aims to capture a heroic era of the country.

As the National Day holiday approaches, the film's ability to accelerate revenue will be critical for the producers to reach the break-even point. The film currently sits in fourth place in recent box office rankings.
