Ha Giang General Hospital treats two critical myocardial infarction cases

Ha Giang General Hospital successfully performed emergency interventions for two patients suffering from acute myocardial infarction.

The first patient, a 62-year-old, presented with severe chest pain and a slow heart rate. Doctors identified a total blockage in the right coronary artery and restored blood flow via stent placement within 30 minutes of admission.

The second patient, a 68-year-old, had experienced chest pain for three days but attempted to treat the condition by self-administering intravenous fluids at home. Upon arrival at the hospital, the patient was in critical condition with a heart rate of only 31 beats per minute. Medical teams performed thrombus aspiration and stent placement to clear a blood clot in the right coronary artery, successfully restoring normal heart rhythm.
