Ha Jung-woo and Cha Jung-won announce December wedding

Actors Ha Jung-woo and Cha Jung-won are set to marry on December 13 at a hotel in Seoul after dating for six years. The upcoming wedding has drawn significant public attention due to the complex family dynamics involving Ha Jung-woo’s father, actor Kim Yong-gun.

Kim Yong-gun, who divorced his first wife in 1996, welcomed a son in 2021 with a partner born in 1985. This makes the child’s mother only four years older than Cha Jung-won. Consequently, Cha Jung-won will become a sister-in-law to a five-year-old child.

Additionally, the family hierarchy presents unique age dynamics: Ha Jung-woo’s brother, Cha Hyun-woo, is married to actress Hwang Bo-ra. Although Hwang Bo-ra is older than Cha Jung-won, she will hold a junior position in the family hierarchy following the marriage.
