Ha Tinh authorities to consider criminal charges for 115 hotline harassment

Authorities in Ha Tinh are considering criminal prosecution for individuals who harass the 115 emergency hotline. While the province's pre-hospital emergency system, led by Ha Tinh Provincial General Hospital, has successfully improved life-saving interventions, it is currently facing significant overload due to non-emergency calls.

Types of harassment include silent calls, reporting incidents outside the province's jurisdiction, and children using adult phones to play or joke. Ha Tinh Police, in coordination with the Department of Cybersecurity and High-Tech Crime Prevention, are reviewing and verifying cases involving intentional harassment, false reporting, or obstruction of emergency services to take legal action.
