Ha Tinh entrepreneur earns 500 million VND annually from civet farming

Lê Văn Phước, a young entrepreneur from Ha Tinh province, has successfully established a profitable mungo civet farming business after deciding against working abroad. After gaining experience working at a civet farm in Hai Phong in 2021, Phước returned to his hometown to start his own venture in 2022.

Starting with an initial investment of approximately 400 million VND to build facilities and purchase 100 breeding pairs, Phước overcame early challenges related to animal health and technical expertise. By 2024, he has expanded his herd to nearly 1,000 animals, generating an annual income of approximately 500 million VND.
