Ha Tinh hospital treats married couple for simultaneous heart attacks
Doctors at Ha Tinh General Hospital treated an elderly married couple who both suffered acute myocardial infarctions on the same day. The patients, identified as T.V.T (73) and N.T.H (71), were admitted with severe chest pain and low blood pressure.
Medical examinations revealed critical blockages for both individuals. Mr. T experienced a complete blockage in the anterior interventricular artery at the site of a previous stent, along with 80% stenosis in other coronary arteries. Mrs. H presented with a complete blockage in the right coronary artery.
Cardiology specialists performed emergency coronary interventions, placing a stent for Mr. T and a stent for Mrs. H. Following the procedures, blood flow was restored, and both patients' conditions stabilized. They are expected to be discharged early next week if their recovery continues favorably.
