Ha Tinh police prevent 14-year-old from meeting online contact

Police in Ha Tinh province, Vietnam, intervened to prevent a 14-year-old girl from traveling to Phu Tho province to meet an individual she met online. The incident was discovered by a driver, Duong Dinh Tuan, who noticed suspicious activity on the girl's phone while transporting her.

Investigations revealed that the online contact had been engaging the minor in inappropriate conversations, using terms like “husband and wife,” and sending harmful links. The individual had also requested sensitive photos and videos and provided a location in Phu Tho for a physical meeting.

The Thanh Sen Ward Police verified the situation and returned the girl to her family safely. The Cyber Security Department highlighted this case as a warning regarding the risks of online grooming, where predators build trust to manipulate children into sharing private content or meeting in person.
