Contenders for the position include Formula 2 driver Rafael Camara, who is rumored to be in a strong position, and development driver Ryo Hirakawa.

Simultaneously, Team Principal Ayao Komatsu reported positive progress in securing new sponsorships to bring the team's annual budget closer to the $215 million Formula 1 cap. Haas, which currently operates with a smaller headcount and budget than many competitors, is seeking to augment its portfolio beyond its current title sponsorship with Toyota Gazoo Racing. Komatsu noted that increasing revenue is essential for improving the team's infrastructure, tooling, and headcount.
