Haas F1 Team struggles with development pace in 2026 season

Haas F1 Team is facing development challenges during the 2026 season after a strong start. While the team secured points in the first three races, including a fifth-place finish by Oliver Bearman in China, they have struggled to maintain pace as rivals have improved.

Team principal Ayao Komatsu remains optimistic, asserting that the technical department is capable of developing the car and catching the pack. However, the team has not scored points since Esteban Ocon’s ninth-place finish at the Monaco Grand Prix in June.

Driver Oliver Bearman expressed skepticism regarding the team’s recent updates, noting that Haas has fallen behind mid-field competitors such as Alpine and Racing Bulls. Bearman remarked that the team currently feels like the 10th best team, a situation he described as painful for the crew.
