Haas F1 team weighs 2027 driver options amid Ferrari and Toyota influences
Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu told Sky Sports that the team’s driver decisions for the 2027 season are not being pressured by Ferrari, including any push to sign Brazilian Ferrari Academy member Rafael Câmara. Current driver Oliver Bearman, also a Ferrari Academy protege, is enjoying his best season with Haas and sits 12th in the championship, while Esteban Ocon remains low in the standings.
Separately, Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda, backed by team chief Komatsu and the team’s major sponsor Toyota, has re‑entered the conversation for the vacant seat after earlier reports suggested Câmara had secured it. Haas has not confirmed any choice, emphasizing performance, commercial considerations and long‑term strategy in the selection process.
