Haat delivery app reaches $100 million valuation

Haat, a delivery and payment application founded by Hasan Abasi in Umm al-Fahm, has reached a valuation of over $100 million. The company was established in 2019 to address specific logistical and financial barriers faced by Arab citizens in Israel.

Key challenges addressed by the platform include the lack of precise mapping in certain neighborhoods and the limited availability of bank cards among some residents. Unlike major competitors such as Wolt, which primarily require card payments, Haat allows for cash on delivery.

The company utilizes machine learning and driver data to create more accurate maps, which have reportedly included 30% more routes in certain areas than traditional navigation platforms. This data has also supported local authorities in street naming and house numbering projects. Currently, Haat operates in approximately 50 cities, partners with over 10,000 merchants, and employs more than 500 couriers.
