Habeeb Ogunneye to leave Manchester United for Arsenal

Habeeb Ogunneye has announced his departure from Manchester United, with a move to Arsenal expected to be finalized shortly. The 21-year-old defender, who has been associated with Manchester United for 15 years, confirmed his exit via social media, expressing gratitude for his time at the club.

Ogunneye, a Nigeria international, spent much of his development within the Manchester United academy and represented the club across various youth competitions, including the UEFA Youth League and the FA Youth Cup. While he was included in 10 senior matchday squads, he did not make a senior competitive appearance for the club. During the 2025-26 season, he spent a portion of his time on loan at Newport County.

Reports indicate that Ogunneye has already undergone a medical with Arsenal as he seeks regular first-team football. His departure is part of a broader period of academy turnover at Old Trafford.
