Haber-İş Union accuses Türk Telekom of forced resignations
The Türkiye Haber-İş Union has issued a statement accusing Türk Telekom of using pressure, mobbing, and threats to force hundreds of employees to resign. According to the union's Board of Presidents, workers who reject voluntary resignation offers are reportedly being faced with intercity transfers, effectively forcing them to choose between leaving their families or losing their jobs.
The union also raised concerns regarding the expansion of the ARTES subcontracting model, which was implemented at the beginning of the year. Haber-İş claims that increasing subcontracting in core operational areas poses risks to service quality, technical expertise, and national communication security. The union has called on Türk Telekom management to halt layoffs, protect workers' rights, and clarify the impact of the ARTES application on institutional capacity.
